Who do you turn to if the Chosen One is a no-show and the worst possible thing that could happen, does happen?

Benjamin Tuttle is about to find out. He is the foretold, after all. Only no one’s ever told him, and he’s about 30 years too late. All because of his last baby tooth. In this delightfully dark contemporary fantasy, Benjamin leads a very uneventful life: divorced father of two, mediocre marketing manager, and that’s about it. Everything changes when a trip to the dentist—his first in decades—upends Benjamin’s entire world, and he discovers, or more accurately is forced to discover, that dentists are the gatekeepers of a secret, one that promises unimaginable power for the few fate has chosen. With this secret comes the revelation that the Fey, creatures of myth and legend, are not only real, but are hiding in plain sight, disguised as the humans they hate. Accompanied by a rebellious dentist, a strong-willed teenager, and a surly gnome with a sweet tooth, Benjamin must navigate his new reality, avoid his own debilitating skepticism, and protect his family—not to mention his own sanity—from the FIDs (Fey in Disguise) and an overzealous dental association with plans of its own.
